On a beautiful Monday Morning, The President departs lagos“>Lagos for abuja“>Abuja. During the 10 day visit, the President held a series of engagements with investors, attended national events and commissioned some projects.
In a statement issued on Monday by the President’s special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President arrived in lagos“>Lagos Friday, 26 September, after attending the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan.
“While in lagos“>Lagos, the President met with key investors, including Bayo Ogunlesi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners and former Chairman of United Bank for Africa and Etisalat.
“The President also received the Secretary -General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, in the company of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola and other heads of agencies in the sector.
During their meeting, President tinubu“>Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to developing Nigeria’s maritime Industry as a viable alternative to fossil energy” the statement added.
The statement said ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, the President visited Imo State to Inaugurate projects executed by Hope Uzodinma and unveiled a book authored by the governor, chronicling a decade of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in government.
Among other things, the President delivered his independence day speech from the State House, Dodan Barracks. Also, attended the commissioning of the renovated National Arts Theatre named after Soyinka.
The President also visited Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday, October 4, to attend the funeral of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
