It was a night of total domination for Barcelona as they dismantled Athletic Bilbao 5-0 in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup tonight, January 7, 2026.
The match, which was played at the Alinma Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, saw Barcelona deliver a ruthless performance that saw them score four times in a ruthless first-half blitz.
The scoring began in the 23rd minute, which gave Ferran Torres the goal to put Barça ahead. The lead was doubled as Fermín López finished off a beautiful team move, assisted by a low cross from Raphinha. 
19-year-old Roony Bardghji, who played in place of Lamine Yamal, got the third goal as he dazzled his defender and fired a strike under Unai Simón.
Raphinha unleashed a thunderbolt into the roof of the net, effectively ending the contest before half-time. The Brazilian got his second for the game in the 52nd minute to complete the 5-0 rout early in the second half.
Barcelona now awaits the winner of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, which kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, January 8. The final will take place this Sunday, January 11.
