The woman at the centre of a viral video where she was seen slapping her boyfriend who was proposing to her has come out to explain why she acted that way.
The woman explained that she had already made things clear to her boyfriend that she could not handle a long-distance relationship.
Despite her clear warning to her boyfriend, he still went ahead to propose to her in public, a move which she considered to have put her under pressure and prompted her to act the way she did.
She stated that her boyfriend's intention was to publicly embarrass her and force her to say yes to the proposal and long-distance relationship she has warned him about.

The lady believes that her action was simply a defence of her boundaries. She explained that she chose to turn the embarrassment back on him instead of letting him bully her into saying yes.
She said the public nature of the proposal was a way for him to disregard her personal opinion on the long-distance issue. By choosing to slap him, she made it known that her feelings and her prior warnings were more important than a public show.
This shocking incident highlights a growing concern about boundary-pushing and pressure tactics in modern relationships. While many criticised the slap, her explanation offers a perspective about feeling ignored and forced into a commitment she did not want. The viral video continues to spark huge debates online about what is acceptable in a public proposal.
