Tributes have poured in for Grace Aseidua Benyin, a Ghanaian midwife in Ireland, whose body was found in December 2025, a month after she was reported missing.
Benyin was last seen in Clonmel, County Tipperary, on the morning of November 21, 2025. Following her disappearance, locals organised search operations and candlelight vigils in the hopes of finding her.
According to the Irish Mirror, a postmortem examination was conducted at University Hospital Waterford by the State Pathologist, with authorities confirming that foul play has been ruled out. 
Following her death, the Clonmel community rallied around her family, launching a GoFundMe page titled “Grace Benyin Funeral and Family Support”. As of the most recent update, €21,944 had been raised to cover funeral expenses and help her loved ones.
Grace, according to the fundraiser, was a woman of great compassion, strength, and selflessness whose work as a midwife touched the lives of many families.
The Ghanaian midwife is remembered not only as a healthcare professional but also as a nurturing figure and a source of comfort for many.
Grace Benyin is survived by her husband and four children, ages 5, 7, 9, and 15.
