1. Volunteers

• Roles Available:
• Event Support: Assist with organizing and executing our flagship events, such as the Africa Business Summit or Youth Empowerment Series, by managing logistics, engaging attendees, or promoting activities.
• Community Outreach: Represent The Gazette Nigeria at local programs, schools, or community centers to promote media literacy and civic participation.
• Editorial Assistance: Support our newsroom with research, fact-checking, or content curation under the guidance of our editorial team (no prior experience required, but an interest in journalism is a plus).
• Digital Ambassadors: Promote our stories and initiatives on social media to expand our reach.

Requirements:

• Commitment to The Gazette Nigeria’s values of truth, fairness, and independence.
• Availability to dedicate a few hours per week or month, depending on the role.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• For editorial roles, basic research skills and attention to detail are preferred.

• Submissions are subject to editorial review and may be edited for clarity or style.

These posts allow you to engage our audience while adhering to strict editorial and legal standards, ensuring transparency and credibility.

Types of Paid Guest Posts:

• Promotional Content: Highlight your brand, product, or service in a way that provides value to readers while clearly disclosing the promotional nature.
• Advertorials: Blend storytelling with marketing objectives, such as showcasing a company’s impact or launching a campaign.
• Political Publicity: Share perspectives on policy or governance issues, provided they comply with Nigerian regulations and our ethical standards.
• Other Related Content: Includes thought leadership pieces with subtle branding or content tied to corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Conditions and Guidelines:

• Transparency: All paid guest posts must be clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” “Advertorial,” or “Paid Content” to maintain reader trust.
• Content Standards:
• Articles must be 600–1,200 words, original, and not published elsewhere.
• Content must be fact-based, well-researched, and free of defamatory, misleading, or illegal material.
• Promotional or advertorial content must focus on informing or engaging readers, not solely on sales pitches.
• Political publicity must avoid hate speech, incitement, or partisan bias that violates Nigerian electoral laws or The Gazette Nigeria’s standards for civility (see Clause 4.2 of our Terms and Conditions).
• All claims must be substantiated with verifiable evidence, and sources may be requested by our editorial team.
• Compliance with Nigerian Laws:
• Content must adhere to the Nigerian Media Code, Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), and other relevant regulations.
• Political content must comply with the Electoral Act and guidelines from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
• Editorial Review: Paid posts are subject to rigorous review and may be edited for clarity, accuracy, or compliance. The Gazette Nigeria reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet our standards.
• No Endorsement: Publication of paid content does not imply endorsement by The Gazette Nigeria.
• Prohibited Content:
• Content that promotes illegal activities, hate speech, or discrimination.
