Ajadi Offers Free JAMB Forms, Coaching for 10,000 Indigent Students in Oyo

Thousands of indigent students across Oyo State are set to receive a major boost ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, as a leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, rolls out a JAMB scholarship initiative aimed at easing access to higher education.

Ajadi stated that under the programme, more than 10,000 students will receive free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms as well as free coaching classes in the state’s 33 local government areas.

Speaking on the initiative, the PDP governorship hopeful described education as the backbone of any progressive society, stressing that no child should be denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because of financial constraints.

According to him, at least 300 students are expected to benefit from the scheme in each local government area, noting that the programme is open to both indigenes and residents of Oyo State as part of efforts to promote inclusive and quality education.

Ajadi explained that applicants must possess a National Identification Number (NIN) and GCE Ordinary Level certificates to qualify for the scholarship.

He added that application forms and screening will be conducted at the PDP secretariats in all 33 local government areas between Monday, January 19 and February 28, 2026.

He further stated that selection for the JAMB Forms would be on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that the process would be transparent and free from bias.

The philanthropist, who has been involved in a number of education-related initiatives, stated that his decision to launch the programme was motivated by his belief that education remains the most powerful tool for national development.

He said;

“Education is the bedrock of growth and development in any society. This is my own way of contributing to the future of our youths by helping those who genuinely want to further their studies but are constrained by financial challenges”.

Ajadi recalled that he had previously implemented similar educational support programmes in Ogun State, and that the positive outcomes of those interventions encouraged him to expand the initiative to Oyo State.

He stated that his passion for youth empowerment extends beyond politics, emphasising that helping the vulnerable through education, skill development, and empowerment is a personal commitment.

He said,

“I want to build a solid foundation for our youths by making education attractive and accessible through financial grants, technology support and provision of learning resources”.

Ajadi added that the JAMB scholarship initiative has already received positive feedback from parents and guardians, many of whom, he said, expressed relief at the intervention amid the prevailing economic hardship.

As preparations for the 2026 JAMB examination gather momentum, the initiative is expected to ease the burden on thousands of families while opening new academic opportunities for young people across Oyo State, reinforcing Ajadi’s message that education remains a powerful investment in the future of the state.
